Accumulation is a durational installation that will grow with each passing day. It began on January 28 and ended on March 1; a total of 33 days. This project developed as a way for me to combat the paralysis I encounter in my making. Some days I become so overwhelmed by the thinking and explaining of my work that I am unable to make anything. Accumulation is a way to form the habit of going into the studio and making something, anything, and seeing where my mind wanders. I have, in a sense, removed the part of the process that paralyzes me. I have taken control and am finding ways to overcome my fear of failing.
